CSC Ilocos Sur logs 2.5K examinees for CSE-PPT on Aug. 11

VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur (PIA) — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Ilocos Sur recorded a total of 2,557 examinees total for the Civil Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) on Aug. 11 in the province.

Provincial Director Marina Garcia said all the slots for the said exam are now taken, with a total of 2,340 examinees for the professional level while 217 examinees for the sub-professional level.

As part of their preparations, they will be conducting a briefing and orientation for 250 test administrators two weeks prior to the exam day.

She reminded the first-time exam takers to arrive at the testing center in Ilocos Sur National High School in this city, before 7:00 a.m.

Garcia assured exam takers should not worry about finding their assigned exam rooms on time as they will be properly assisted on-site.

“We also suggest that they check their name on the list of room assignments which will be posted on Philippine Civil Service Commission, the official Facebook page of CSC, two weeks before the exam,” she said.

She reminded that the examinees must bring the same Identification card they used during the application process.

“It is alright if they happen to have lost their receipt as long as they have their IDs during the exam day,” she stated.

Moreover, examinees are advised to wear appropriate clothing, preferably white top.

Those wearing sleeveless shirts and blouses, shorts or short pants, ripped jeans, and slippers will not be allowed to enter the exam venue.

Devices such as mobile phones, smart watches, pen and eyeglasses with built-in cameras, and any other gadgets, including those that can facilitate audio or video recording of any test material or portion of the exam must be kept away from their seats.

Garcia also revealed a helpful tip for the test-takers. “The examinees should review because the exam is about general knowledge; there are no specific subjects, sleep early, eat breakfast, and pray,” she said.

While there is no limit to the number of times an examinee can take the eligibility test, the provincial director advised they must wait at least three months after their recent take. (MJTAB/ATV/RGG, PIA Ilocos Sur)
