“Dito tayo ngayon(Grab), pero gagawin natin itong mas marami, pupunta tayo sa mga government employees, same with BPO companies, dadayo tayo sa kanila para magbigay ng libreng aral. Hindi tayo magsasawa na magturo ng magturo, pupunta tayo sa kanila,” she said.

[ We are doing  this for Grab but we will be expanding. We go to  the government employees , same with BPO companies, we will go to them to give free  learning. We will not get tired of teaching them, we will go to them.]

Jaz Calaguas, Grab-Two Wheel Driver Engagement Lead for Luzon, said the seminar will help ensure the safety of the riders and prevent accidents. She expressed gratitude to the RHPU-CAR for  its initiative in conducting the training.

“For Baguio, this is our third year. During the pandemic, we did it online just to make sure that we still inculcate road safety to our drivers. After the pandemic, we started yung on ground activities natin which was held at Scout Barrio in the previous years. So now medyo nag updgrade tayo, meron na tayong theoretical classes and meron na ring actual which we are very grateful na supportive ang HPG-CAR,” she said.

Participants are also thankful for the free training .  “Sa HPG po, thank you so much po sa tulong ninyo para ma-enhance po ang skills namin sa kalsada and ma-remind kami na dapat lagi kaming mag-ingat,” said Catherine Bardillon, a Grab rider.

[To the HPG, thank you so much for your help  in enhancing our skills on the road and we are reminded to be always careful.]

Rider Harold Barrientos shared that he was able to learn a lot of information from the activity.

“Marami kaming natutunan, yung mga proper na signs sa kalsada, pag nakatraining ka dito, pwede mong iapply sa kalsada at puwede mong maituro sa mga kasama mo. Salamat kasi kahit four hours na ibinigay na oras, malaking bagay na rin matuto kami sa ganyang bagay” he said.

[We learned a lot from the training  like the proper road signs which we can apply  or share to others. Thank you because even though it is only for four hours, we have learned much.] (CVT-PIA CAR)
