BACOLOD CITY, March 14 (PIA6) - - Eighty five selected Tourism and Hotel Management students and city hall employees re training to  becme ushers, usherettes and liaison officers for the upcoming Bacolod hosting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) meeting.

The 60 students from La Consolacion College and the 25 liaison officers underwent a four-day Skills Enhancement Training Program held at the Sugarland Hotel in preparation for the 15th Meeting of the ASEAN Senior Officials Responsible for Information March 21 to 24.

According to Sandra Ruth Sycip, assistant chair of the Bacolod Secretariat Committee, the Foreign Service Institute of the Department of Foreign Affairs conducted the training, a release from the Bacolod City Information Office said.

Resource speakers were Fortunato Oblena, former Philippine Ambassador to Lebanon; Eva Betita, former Philippine Ambassador to Brazil; former beauty queen Karen Loren Agustin-Ostrea and Karina Agustin-Crisostomo, both of Global Image Management.*(JCM/PIA6 Negros Occidental)
