DPWH-Leyte completes school building
ORMOC CITY, Leyte, June 19 (PIA) -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Leyte recently completed Phase II of its school building construction project in Brgy. San Pablo, Ormoc City, in time for the opening of classes.
According to District Engineer Lino Francisco C. Gonzalez, the school building with a contract amount of P1,146,000 was completed earlier than its June 2 target completion date. Complete with the needed amenities, it is expected to solve the perennial problem of overcrowding in classrooms in the said barangay.
Engr. Gonzalez inspected the school building last May before this was turned over to school authorities.
It was bared that the school building construction project was under contract with Forecastle Construction, and under the supervision of the DPWH, 4th Leyte Engineering District.
The project was begun on March 5, 2012. (PIA-8/DPWH8)
