CATARMAN, Northern Samar, July 10 (PIA) -- Detecting a thief in action, a man immediately calls the police station from his residence in Brgy. Dalakit, Catarman N. Samar, Thursday.

The phone call puts the police in action with the officer-in-charge Police Superintendent Bernardo Echano Raquiza along with several Catarman police to the place of the complainant and there and then catches the suspect, a certain Allan Alvarez Lutao, a resident of Pambujan, N. Samar.

This was learned from Police Community Affairs Police Institutional Information of Northern Samar Police Provincial Office.

Police report disclosed that the suspect was trying to steal two units, 1SM and 3SM motolite batteries of the vehicle at around 3 p.m.

The suspect was immediately brought to Catarman police station for investigation.

During the quad staff conference attended by Police Operations Officer Police Senior Inspector Elaine Pinca Espiña at NSPPO, it was discussed that police response time to police calls should be five minutes within a five-km radius.

The immediate action or response of the PNP is the kind of services we deserve, and this will surely prevent criminality in the community, a resident observed. (EOPT/AND-PIA8, Northern Samar)
