NSO-Southern Leyte to hire of area supervisors, field interviewers
MAASIN CITY, Southern Leyte, July 26 (PIA) -- The National Statistics Office (NSO)–Southern Leyte announced the hiring of 19 assistant registration area supervisors and 500 field interviewers for the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) survey.
NSO statistician II Jimmy Dagupan said in a press statement that the RSBSA is an electronic compilation of basic information on farmers, farm laborers and fishermen throughout the locality.
“To create the RSBSA database, a nationwide registration activity will be carried out to gather the necessary data input for the system, thus the hiring of a workforce is needed," he said.
He said that qualifications for the assistant registration area supervisor to be deployed at the municipality/city include the following: must be a resident of the city/municipality; preferably not more than 50 years of age; must be a college graduate and preferably a graduate in statistics, mathematics, engineering or other related courses; can speak the local dialect and preferably with experience and training in statistical undertaking.
The field interviewer applicant is required to be a resident of the barangay; preferably not more than 45 years old; physically fit and able to travel; with good moral character, can operate information technology equipment, among others.
Dagupan said that the applicants may submit their written application letter and their resume on or before August 16 at the following areas: for Pacific Area applicants, from Saint Bernard to Silago municipalities, to Victoria B. Calvar; for Panaon Area from Liloan to San Ricardo may submit to Pio Rosales; Sogod Bay Area applciants from the municipality of Tomas Oppus to Libagon town to Solomon Galdo Jr.
He added that all other applicants for the position can submit to NSO Provincial Statistics Officer Mae R. Alonte or to Adminsitrative Officer-designate Lourdes Kionisala in Maasin City.
A competitive examination and interview will be held in their respective municipalities, Dagupan added. (PIA8-Southern Leyte)
