Four PNP-10 awardees of the 2012 July PCR Month comes from Mis. Occ.

OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental, July 8 (PIA) -- At least four awardees of the 17th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month of the Philippine National Police (PNP), in region 10, this year, comes from Misamis Occidental.

These awardees were cited for their achievement in the implementation of various projects that bring about peace and safety of the people in communities in their respective areas of responsibility (AOR).

The awarding ceremonies held at the PNP-10 headquarters in Cagayan de Oro City, served as kicked-off activity of the PCR Month, in the region, July 4.

It was among the month-long activities that focused on the theme, “Mamayan at Kapulisan: Patuloy ang Ugnayan sa Higit na Ligtas, Mapayapa at Maunlad na Pamayanan (Police and Community Relations for a Safe, Peaceful and Progressive Country).”

Meanwhile, leading these awardees is the Ozamiz City Police Station (OCPS) of the Misamis Occidental Provincial Police Office (Mis. Occ. PPO), which has been cited as the 2012 Best in Police Community Relations (PCR), City Police Station (CPS) Category.

Governor Herminia M. Ramiro of Misamis Occidental was also cited with an award of recognition for local chief executives (LCEs) by the Mis. Occ. PPO, along with:

Police Officer (PO) 2 Cheryl Lyn Wagas Ano-os of the PCR, Family Protection and Gender Sensitivity (FPGS) Section of OCPS, has been cited as the 2012 Best Junior PCR, Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO), Police Officer 1 to Police Officer 3 (PO1 to PO3) Category.
Sr. Police Officer 1 (SPO1) Shiela P. Acosta, of PCR PNCO, Mis. Occ. PPO, was cited as 2012 Best Senior PCR, PNCO, Sr. Police Officer 1 to Sr. Police Officer 4 (SPO1 to SPO4) Category.

The other awardees included the following: Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Police (Mis. Or. PPO), as Best PCR PPO, Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO), as Best PCR CPO, and Jasaan Municipal Police Station (JMPS), Mis. Or. PPO, as Best PCR MPS.
P/Supt. Ramil J. Waper, Company Commander, Lanao del Norte Provincial Police Safety Command (LDNPPSC), as Best Senior PCR Officer, Police Supt. to Police Sr. Supt. Category and Police Sr. Inspector (P/Insp.) Mardy Hortillosa II, PCR Officer, COCPO, as Best Junior PCR Officer, P/Insp. to P/Chief, Insp. Category.

Awards of recognition were also given to the following LCEs and non-government organizations (NGOs): Mayors Alex R. Jajalla of Mahinog, Camiguin by the Camiguin PPO and Mario T. Okinlay of Impasug-ong, Bukidnon by the Bukidnon PPO.

Awards were also presented to barangay heads Romeo R. Baccarro of Tablon, Cagayan de Oro City (COC) by the COC Police Office and Alfredo L. Icalina of Pigcarangan, Lanao del Norte by the LDN PPO; and to the Community-Based Support System (CBSS) by the Iligan CPO and Church Defense and DILG Consultative Conference (CADENCE) by the Mis.
