SURIGAO DEL NORTE, Peb. 20, (PIA) – Gibisitahan ni Governor Sol Matugas ang mga biktima sa baha sa Purok Rosal ug Bliss, sa Brgy. Quezon, Mainit, Surigao del Norte uban ang Team Capitol niadtong Sabado, Pebrero 18, 2012.

Adunay mokabat sa 48 ka mga pamilya ang mibakwit ngadto sa Brgy. Quezon gym, 67 ka pamilya didto sa Pastoral House ug 70 ka pamilya didto sa Quezon Elementary School.

Si Governor Matugas miapod-apod og mga hinabang ug plano usab niya nga erelocate ang mga katawhan nga nanimuyo duol sa Lake Mainit aron malikay sila sa peligro ug dili na sila mahasol sa pagbakwit panahon sa makusog nga ulan ug baha nga masinati matag karon ug unya.

Surigao Norte gov visits flasflood victims in Brgy. Quezon, Mainit

Surigao del Norte Governor Sol Matugas together with the team capitol visited the flasflood victims at Purok Rosal and Blisss in Brgy Quezon, Mainit, Surigao del Norte.

Around 48 families were being evacuated at Brgy. Quezon Gym, 67 families in Pastoral House and 70 families in Quezon Elementary School.

During the said visit, Governor Matugas also distributed relief goods and revealed her plans to relocate the informal settlers living near the lakeside of Mainit. “So that they will we safe and will not always be displaced during heavy rains and other weather disturbances,” Matugas said.

Evacuess expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Gov. Matugas for the assistance they received and hopeful that they can be relocated soon. (Provincial Information Center/PIA-Surigao del Norte)
