Poll for Asean drawing contest opened

MANILA, Aug 2 -- Public voting for the best works of the Asean (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Drawing Contest 2012 kicked off on July 31, in search for the two grand winners of the drawing contest. The contest is being held in commemoration of the 45th anniversary of Asean.

“After receiving many beautiful works selected as best drawings at the national level, 20 winners in two age categories from 10 Asean member-states now compete in the regional level of Asean Drawing Contest 2012," a press statement from Asean said,

Winners from each category, defined by most “LIKEs” received, will be receiving certificates signed by the secretary-general of ASEAN, a cash prize of $500 each and Asean books and souvenirs.

Other participants whose works are selected to represent their respective countries will receive certificates for their participation and prizes equivalent to $100.

The public can vote by liking the Facebook page of Asean http://www.facebook.com/aseansecretariat and the uploaded picture of the entry. (ASEAN)
