Diskwento Caravan

BOAC, Marinduque, July 6 (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry -Marinduque recorded P 349,903.75 sales during the three-day “Diskwento Caravan Balik - Eskwela Edition” on last month at the municipalities of Gasan, Torrijos and Buenavista.

DTI-Marinduque Provincial Director Carlito F. Fabaleña said the activity aimed to provide opportunity and advantage not only to the store owners, but also benefit parents and students to avail quality school supplies sold at discounted prices.

Dir. Fabaleña also said they purposely scheduled the Caravan during the market days of three municipalities wherein large number of consumers were present.

The success of the Caravan was the product of the joint effort of DTI-Marinduque, the Marinduque Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (MCCI), LGU’s of Gasan, Torrijos,and Buenavista. There were thirteen participating stores, which provided discounts ranging from 10 to 50 percent discount on school supplies, bags, school uniforms and shoes. In the same event, Dir. Fabaleña gave an orientation about the on-going caravan projects, the DTI Laws, Product Standards, Complaints, Price Monitoring, Text Scam, Sales Promo and other related matters.
