Gov't to provide more jobs in Bulacan

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan, June 12 (PIA) -- The Aquino administration aims to pour in more services and provide job opportunities in the province.

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) - Bulacan provincial director Leilani Reynoso said announced that more than 7,000 jobs are open to the upcoming Kalayaan Jobs Fair 2012, which is part of President Aquino’s commitment on job creation.

She pointed out that at least 15 foreign firms will participate on the said fair to hire applicants who want to work abroad while there are 16 local companies to offer jobs in the sector of manufacturing, call centers, business processing outsourcing (BPO) and other information technology related jobs.

Just recently, President Aquino also instructed Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to resume its Diskwento Caravan to provide discounted commodities to minimum wage-earners. Basically, more on ‘Balik Eskwela’ products will be available at 10 percent lowered price.

Simultaneously, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and the Department of Health (DOH) in cooperation with Provincial Health Office (PHO), will spearhead a Free Medical and Dental Mission for Bulakenyos. Around 200 medical practitioners including doctors, dentists, nurses and other medical related staff are scheduled to participate on this daylong activity.

National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) chairman Dr. Maria Serena I. Diokno explained that the president wants to revitalized the public moral on celebrating the Philippine Independence Day by providing government services within reach by ordinary citizens in the countryside.
