NCRPO celebrates 17th Police Community Relations Month

TAGUIG CITY, July 4 (PIA) –- The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) celebrates this July the 17th Police Community Relations Month with this year’s theme “Mamamayan at Kapulisan: Patuloy ang Ugnayan sa Higit na Ligtas, Mapayapa at Maunland na Pamayanan.”

The celebration kicked-off Monday, July 2 in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City with Commissioner, Vice Chairman and Executive Officer of the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Atty. Eduardo U. Escueta as guest of honor and speaker.

During the event, outstanding NCRPO personnel were recognized and given honor for their exemplary performance.

In a similar event held at the PNP National Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City, NCRPO spokesperson Police Senior Superintendent Dionardo B. Carlos received a Plaque of Merit for his exceptional dedication to his duty as NCRPO’s Regional Police Community Relations Chief and in implementing PCR programs that promote Police-Private Partnerships.

Carlos was also cited for his outstanding efforts in harnessing the active participation of several private persons and entities in strengthening police-community partnerships such as the Honorable Outstanding Police Enforcer (HOPE) Awards given by the International Junior Chamber-Manila and The Basilio Group; educational assistance for police dependents given by Bread of Life Ministries; and the NCRPO “Bahay Bulilit” day care center in partnership with DSWD-Taguig and several private-donors.

Meanwhile, community partners and other stakeholders will be conferred during the culminating activities of the Police Community Relations Month celebration on July 29, 2012. (PNP-NCRPO/RJB/JEG-PIA-NCR)
