DPWH chief orders repavement of potholes along Roxas Blvd

MANILA, August 3 (PIA) –- Highways Secretary Rogelio L. Singson ordered Thursday the re-pavement of potholes along Roxas Boulevard.

In a statement, Singson told DPWH personnel to conduct re-paving of damaged pavements after some motorists reported the presence of potholes along Roxas Boulevard, especially those that were paved before the ADB Directors’ meeting on May 2012.

“This will be done as soon as the weather improves,” said Singson.

The DPWH chief added that on areas recently paved, the asphalt-paving works are covered by a one year-warranty period.

Singson also said that contractors are obliged to rectify or do repair works at their own expense.

“If there is a need to remove and replace these newly paved road sections, then, they should do it,” said Singson. (DPWH/RJB/JEG-PIA NCR)
