Search begins for outstanding ‘Tsinoys’

QUEZON CITY, Feb. 23 (PIA) - The search has begun for outstanding Chinese-Filipinos, also known as “Tsinoys,” to contend for the Dr. Jose Rizal Excellence Awards 2012.

The search is a biennial event arranged by the Manila Times and the Kaisa Para sa Kaunlaran, Inc. which aims to honor Tsinoys who have made substantial and excellent contributions to the Philippine society in their respective fields or disciplines.

The nominations of contenders are anchored on the following categories: Arts, Literature and Culture; Business and Entrepreneurship; Community Service; Education; Journalism; Management and Finance; Medicine; Public Service; Science and Technology; Sports; and Professionals.

Nomination forms may be obtained from the website and mailed to The Manila Times 2/F Sitio Grande Building 409 A. Soriano Avenue, Intramuros, Manila. The accomplished forms must be postmarked on or Before April 16, 2012.

Any individuals, public or private entities or organizations may submit nominations.
