Tuesday 7th of February 2012ILAGAN, Isabela, February 7 (PIA) – The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has served notice of power interruptions to its area of operations particularly in the province of Isabela.
In the NGCP’s notice of power interruption dated February 6, 2012, service areas of the Isabela Electric Cooperative (ISELCO) I will be experiencing power interruption that will start at 8:00 in the morning up to 6:00 in the evening of February 8, 2012.
ISELCO I management said that the places to be affected are the towns of Ramon, San Isidro, Cordon, Santiago City, part of Cauayan City (barangays gagabutan, Buena Suerte, Labinab, Culalabat, Gagabutan, Duminit, Rizal, Baringin Sur and Norte, Daburab and Santa Luciana) anf Luna, Isabela.
Lilibeth P. Gaydowen, north Luzon corporate communications officer said there will also be power interruption on February 9, 2012 from 8:00 in the morning to 6:00 in the evening at the same service for the continuation of testing of new transmission facilities.
The affected municipalities are Echague, Jones, San Agustin, San Guillermo, Alicia, Angadanan, Luna, Cabatuan, San Mateo and NIA Baligatan.
Gaydowen said the scheduled shutdown of some of its transmission facilities is for the conduct of annual preventive maintenance and testing of transformers and its associated equipment at Santiago sub-station.
Gaydowen said normal operations will immediately resume after works have been done by technical personnel of the NGCP.
She advised the public especially in the affected areas to take necessary preparations and precautions for the scheduled power interruption. (TCB/MGE/PIA- Isabela)
