Policemen undergo Character First seminar

SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela, Feb. 15 (PIA) – Police personnel of the Santiago City Police Office (SCPO) are undergoing a three-day Character First seminar to deepen the values that the city government wanted to inculcate in every Santiaguenos.

 

The Character First program of the city government aims to instill moral values to all people living in the city to become peaceful, progressive and developed society and included are employees and law enforcers working in the city.

 

Police Superintendent Victorino Valdez, SCPO police community relations chief, said that though some of the police personnel are not from the city, they will still undergo Character First seminar.

 

Valdez said the Character First seminar is similar to a moral recovery program of the national government which purpose is to instill and reaffirm the values to human beings to become responsible to their duties as protector of Santiaguenos.

 

He said police personnel must also be taught moral values as a tool to gain the ire of the public to the police and become partners in preventing and solving crimes in the city.

 

The Character First program instills integrity, unity, loyalty, and other values the country wanted every citizen to possess. (TCB/MGE-PIA Isabela)
