Provincial Fire Marshal Rogelio Parallag said the fire prevention awareness campaign aims to prevent future incidents of fire in the province considering that the entry of summer season was already announced by the country’s weather bureau.

As a kick-off activity, the BFP conducted a motorcade around the main thoroughfares of the province started at the capital town of Ilagan.

The BFP led the motorcade in coordination with the local government unit of Isabela, the police, and private fire brigade volunteers in the province joined the motorcade.

The province’s fire chief said that the activity is already an annual activity to inform the public on the preventive measures to avoid fire incidents in the province.

Parallag said that aside from the motorcade, there are also lined-up activities this month like conducting an information and education campaign to various educational institutions in the province including the private school institutions and conduct of fire inspection to government facilities and business establishments.

“Our objective in educating the public is to prevent the occurrences of fire incidents” Parallag said.
