Isabela strengthens 4Ps grievance committee

ILAGAN, Isabela, July 4 (PIA) -- The provincial government of Isabela has strengthened the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) by revitalizing its grievance committee.

The committee will ensure that Isabelino 4Ps beneficiaries are afforded the benefits due them by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Governor Faustino G. Dy III issued Executive Order No. 05 series of 2012 revitalizing the provincial 4Ps grievance committee for a more responsive and timely support to the implementation of 4Ps of the DSWD.

DSWD memorandum circular No. 03 recognizes the urgency and need to revitalize the grievance committee as a more responsive and timely support mechanism in the implementation of 4Ps, which ensure that grievances and concerns in the provincial levels are provided appropriate and prompt resolutions,” the order said.

Among the functions of the grievance committee are: to oversee the implementation of 4Ps in Isabela; to address grievances, queries and complaints related to 4Ps either received direct or indirect sources, or referred by municipal/city LGUs clusters or links; to coordinate the implementation of heath and education services to best achieve and execute program objectives and functions; to hold regular meetings to facilitate resolutions of referred cases, complaints or grievances; to review and resolve all provincial concerns; and to refer to higher level the problems that need action to the regional level and provide feedback.

The province now covers 30 municipalities and two cities of Isabela with 35,474 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries. (PIA 2, Isabela)
