Hospital chief asks Isabela SP to allot funds for hospital bed-capacity expansion
ECHAGUE, Isabela, July 6 (PIA) –- The chief of the Echague District Hospital has asked the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Isabela to allot funds for the bed-capacity expansion of the said hospital.
The district hospital at present has a 25 bed-capacity to cater the hospitalization needs of the 4th district residents.
In a letter to the SP through district 4 Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) member Joseph Mathew Alindada, District hospital chief Severo Valdez, Jr., Echague cited the need to expand the hospital bed-capacity considering patients flocking in the hospital.
Dr. Valdez is confident that the SP will accede to his request, considering that the present provincial leadership is prioritizing the health of every Isabelino.
He also requested the deployment of additional health personnel including the provision of additional operational funds next year for the district hospital to effectively carry out the mandate of the hospital of curing the ailments of Isabelinos.
The request of Valdez was already submitted to the SPs chairmen of the Committee on Health and Committee on Appropriations to be presented on next Tuesday’s regular session.
Valdez expressed optimism that his office’s request would be given preferential attention and approval by the members of the SP. (PIA- Isabela)
