BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, July 6 (PIA) -- Two villages in two towns here joined other areas energized by the national government with the ceremonial switching of a power system by the Nueva Vizcaya Electric Cooperative(NUVELCO).

Barangays Arwas and Baracbac in the towns of Sta. Fe and Diadi, respectively are the latest recipients of the energization program, benefiting more than 100 households.

“These projects have been supervised and assisted by the officials of NUVELCO through the National Electrification Administration (NEA),” said Rep. Carlos Padilla.

He said that with the latest energization of the two upland barangays in the two municipalities, the number of unenergized villages has been reduced.

Narciso Salunat, an engineer and NUVELCO general manager, said more funds had been allotted for the energization program of the province’s villages this year.

“With the continuing allotment of funds for the province’s energization programs, we hope to complete our energization targets the soonest possible time,” Salunat said.(BME-PIA 2, Nueva Vizcaya)
