Nueva Vizcaya okays P17M for salaries of casuals

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, July 6 (PIA) -- The provincial government here has set aside more than P17 million to cover the salaries of its casuals until September this year.

The approval of the supplementary budget was approved by the provincial board following a request for such fund to retain the services of more than 300 casuals before the end of the year.

Board member Edgar Llowelyn Daniel said there is a need to fund the salaries of casuals since some of them have been deployed to key front line services while others are doing field work and other assignments.

“The approval of the supplementary budget for the casuals was deemed needed so as not to cut their services which will have an impact on the services being given by the provincial government, more so on our health services,” he said.

“The source of the casuals’ salaries was the savings generated by funded vacant positions for 2012,” Dacumos said. (BME-PIA 2, Nueva Vizcaya)
