DPWH-Cavite finishes two road rehabilitation projects
TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite, Aug 3 (PIA) -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed two road repair projects worth P30 million in Cavite. These roads link the province to Manila and to neighboring provinces in the Southern Tagalog Region.
The P20-million rehabilitation and upgrading of the J. M. Loyola along DasmariÃ±as City-Carmona Road was completed April 4. The project started in December 2011 and involved the concreting of road and construction of concrete hollow blocks (CHB) lined canal with curbs, gutter and sidewalk.
The road project covered Km. 47+469.60 to Km. 48+204 in Carmona, Cavite,and included the construction of a drainage system.
The P10-million repair of the Cavite-Batangas Road (Km. 25+318 to Km. 26+000 in Imus Cavite), which is part of the Aguinaldo Highway located in Barangay Anabu in Imus, involved the asphalting of 682 linear meters with a road width of 12.20 meters.
The project started on November 3, 2011 and was completed on November 12, 2011. The newly overlaid road section was provided with white thermoplastic pavement markings for a safer road network as directed by DPWH Secretary Rogelio Singson.
Road widening was also done to improve the traffic situation in the area.
The Cavite District Engineering Office supervised the project, with Marcbilt Construction Inc. as contractor. (CPG/RBF,PIA-Cavite/DPWH-Cavite)
