BIR COLLECTION IN ABRA INCREASED IN 2011

BANGUED, Abra, Jan. 29 (PIA) -- The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in Abra has increased its tax collections by P14,204,602.31 for fiscal year 2011.   In an interview, Abra District Revenue Officer Solomon Barsaga reported that tax collections for the year 2011 was P221,122,644.94 compared to its collections in 2010 which was P207,122,644.94.   Barsaga attributed the increase in their tax collections to the intensified information campaign of the BIR coupled with the smooth delivery of services in their office through a friendly environment accorded by their staff.   The Revenue District Office likewise reached out to ...

Fiscal deficit down by 64.33%
