DBP PARTNERS WITH SCHOOLS FOR STUDENT LOANS

ILOILO CITY, April 5 (PIA5) -- The Development Bank of the Philippines has launched a P2-billion lending scheme to qualified educational institutions for re-lending to deserving poor students.
DBP-Iloilo Asst. Manager Ma. Juana Easter Senupe said the program, dubbed HELPS, or Higher Education Loan Program for Students, is a DBP loan facility through schools serving as conduits, where students can apply for loans.
Senupe said schools should submit their letter of intent, stating the number of students they intent to avail of loans.
