KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato, May 3 (PIA) -- The largest chunk of the Department of Agriculture (DA)-12’s 2013 budget would be spent to boost the region’s rice sector, an official of the agency said.
Amalia Jayag-Datukan, regional executive director of DA 12 confirmed that of the P1.2 budget allotted for DA 12 this year, P501 million will be spent through the Agri-Pinoy Rice Program.
This year’s budget is P169 million or 50.93 percent higher than in the previous year.
