DSWD ALLOTS P282M FOR CASH FOR WORK PROGRAM FOR 41,600 FARMERS IN REGION1

VIGAN CITY, Aug 10 (PIA) -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has allotted P282 million for the Cash for Work Program in Region 1. This will benefit 41,624 poor farmers and fishers in disaster-prone areas. The program will also cater to victims of previous typhoons or internally displaced persons, together with the farmers and fishers, to work for 30 days, according to DSWD-Region 1 Director Marcelo Nicomedes J.
