ILAGAN, Isabela, Juy 27 (PIA) -- A free medical, dental, and optical mission was conducted Thursday by the medical team of the Isabela Police Provincial Office (IPPO), provincial hospital, and rural health unit of Ilagan at the community center.

Police superintendent Vicente Valdez, police community relations (PCR) service chief, said the activity is part of the observance of the PCR month this July.

Valdez said the activity gave active military, police, jail guards, and firemen the opportunity to avail themselves of the free medical, dental, and optical check-ups from the medical team of the IPPO and from provincial and municipal government hospitals.

The PCR’s official functions are to exercise primary staff functions in the planning, direction, coordination, supervision, and monitoring of all activities pertaining to Police Community Relations; and to formulate strategies, policies and plans geared towards enhancing the PNP role in pursuance of the national policy of reconciliation, people security and development assistance.
