DA CONDUCTS ORGANIC FARMING PROFILING IN CAGAYAN VALLEY

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, June 18 (PIA) -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) is now conducting profiling of organic farming practices in Cagayan Valley region.
Senior Agriculturist Marina Acebedo, also the DA organic farming focal person, said that they are in the process of gathering data on organic farming from July 2011 to present as a baseline data for their regional organic farming profile.
“This research is being conducted in coordination with the DA’s Bureau of Agricultural Statistics,” she said during a recent farmers and traders consultation at the Nueva Vizcaya State University here.
