TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte, June 19 (PIA) -- The Police Regional Office (PRO) 8 has assured the public on the readiness of the police to respond to any calamity.
Police Chief Supt. Elmer Soria, PRO 8 regional director, said his office is closely coordinating with local government units (LGUs), and is monitoring flood-prone and landslide-prone areas.
He said while everybody is expected to do his part in the preparation, prevention and mitigation measures during the rainy season, the PRO 8 has been training its men to be equipped with proper competence on disaster management.
