The Philippine Information Agency and APO Production Unit, Inc. (APO), led by PIA Deputy Director-General Adolfo Ares P. Gutierrez, conducted a surprise earthquake drill at the PIA Central Office Building in Quezon City this afternoon, November 23.
The drill aimed at assessing the preparedness of the staff to handle emergencies like earthquakes and fires, among others.
The Emergency Response Team (ERT) volunteers, under the guidance of Deputy Director-General Gutierrez, did a great job leading everyone to safety. In collaboration with the Quezon City Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office (QCDRRMO) search and rescue team, a simulation of a rescue operation was also conducted.
