CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) — As part of its Civil Society Organization (CSO) Consultation and Learning Visit by the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps)-Regional Program Management Office (RPMO), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Mimaropa conducted an outreach program to more than 100 Badjao families at Purok 3, Barangay Tagburos, Puerto Princesa City from August 30 to September 1.
The outreach program also included Family Development Session (FDS) and focus group discussion (FGD) led by the Landbank PPC Branch and CSO volunteers.
Young beneficiaries also gained knowledge through a coloring activity and a lecture about health. Each beneficiary household was also given medical and dental assistance in the program.
In a social media post of DSWD Mimaropa, the Agency acknowledged the support of its partners, “the activity was made possible and meaningful because of the generous support and assistance of the Department’s partners.”
At the end of the 3-day consultation dialogue, the CSOs laid out their plan and proposal in several areas of the program for collaboration and commitment in delivering assistance to the beneficiaries.
Representatives from various CSO partners in Palawan, such as Ligaya ng Buhay, Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc., National Auxiliary Chaplaincy Philippines (NACPHIL), Bethsaida, Metro Ormoc Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MPC), Tao Kalahi Foundation, International Care Ministries (ICM), Agape Rural Health Inc., and Amos Tara Community Center also attended the event.
