MARAWI CITY (PIA) — The Bangsamoro Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) recognized 142 outstanding recipients of the Access to Higher and Modern Education Scholarship Program (AHME-SP) 1st Cohort who graduated with Latin Honors on Feb. 4.
One graduate earned Summa Cum Laude honors, while 22 graduated as Magna Cum Laude and 109 as Cum Laude, receiving P20,000, P15,000, and P10,000, respectively. Their outstanding academic achievements highlight the program’s effectiveness.
“Whether you graduated Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Cum Laude, the honor you have given us today is already a pride. We are praying that this is just a stepping stone for the brighter future of the Bangsamoro,” MBHTE Deputy Minister Haron Meling said.
Marjuni Maddi, Director General of Higher Education, also expressed his pride in the scholars’ achievements, emphasizing that their success benefits them, their families, and the entire Bangsamoro region.
The AHME-SP, a flagship program aimed at increasing access to higher education for deserving students, has seen remarkable success with its first cohort.
The recognition underscores the commitment of the Bangsamoro Government and its Ministry of Education to support and reward academic excellence among its scholars.
