CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga (PIA) — Fifteen entrepreneurs in the province have enhanced their skills through the three-day Fashion Design Making Workshop conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The participants were updated on new fashion trends and on the execution of prototypes of collaboration of local MSMEs and the Design Center of the Philippines.
DTI-Kalinga tapped Constantine Ascano, a leading fashion designer from Kalinga, for the activity held on October 25 to 27, 2023 here.
Provincial Director Renie Ramos of DTI-Kalinga said the workshop is under the agency’s continuing One Town One Product-New Generation (ONG) program which assists grassroot industries develop and grow. This promotes the agency’s program on ‘OTOPreneurs’ through provision of improved production skills and introducing new marketable products, he said.
The training is expected to open new business opportunities to micro-business operators in the line of fashion which is a growing industry. (LL-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
