152 benefit from TUPAD program in Kalinga town

PASIL, Kalinga (PIA) — One hundred  fifty two  families in the municipality of Pasil  received financial assistance  under  the Tulong Panghanapbuhay para sa Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on November 14.

Governor James S. Edduba  supervised  the payout  of P4,000 each to the 152 beneficiaries for a 10-day community service  they  rendered  their respective barangays  last month.

Edduba thanked Senator Loren Legarda for sponsoring said TUPAD payout and called on the beneficiaries to use the financial assistance for the needs of their families or  to start-up any small economic venture.

DOLE-Kalinga Head Avelina Manganip extolled the provincial leadership for working-out funds for the program benefiting disadvantaged workers of the province.

Senators JV Ejercito, Christopher Go,  and Ramon Revilla Jr earlier provided  funding aids to the province through the representation of the provincial officials. (LL–PIA CAR, Kalinga)
