198 Sibugaynon interns complete government internship

IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay (PIA) – A total of 198 beneficiaries recently completed the Government Internship Program (GIP) of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in Zamboanga Sibugay through a culmination ceremony, marking their transformative journey in public service.

The GIP offered interns valuable experiences, fostering personal and professional growth as they gained firsthand experiences into governance through public service.

Kyle Fernandez, an intern assigned to the Philippine Information Agency Zamboanga Sibugay, conveyed her appreciation for the program’s impact on her growth and confidence.

“I am grateful for the opportunity and it taught me the value of public service, helping me discover my potential to contribute to the community,” Fernandez said.

The culmination ceremony of the Government Internship Program celebrates the dedication and achievements of 198 young interns in Zamboanga Sibugay.

The interns received certificates, marking months of hard work and their readiness for new challenges. The certificates symbolized both achievements and a renewed commitment to public service.

Elamsalih E. Ungad, provincial director of DOLE Zamboanga Sibugay, congratulated the interns for their commendable efforts and dedication throughout their internship program.

“Congratulation to our interns because you worked hard and brought a lot of effort during this program and always remember the values you’ve learned,” Ungad said. 

Partner government agency representatives attended the ceremony, offering messages of encouragement and emphasizing the program’s role in connecting young talents with public service, promoting excellence and responsibility.

The Government Internship Program continues to serve as a stepping stone for youth, instilling values like discipline, responsibility, and a commitment to community development.
