CAMIGUIN (PIA) — Improving employment opportunities in the province, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Camiguin distributed toolkits to 22 graduates, who are under 2023 Special Training for Employment Program (STEP Scholarship), January 27.
Leading the event were CPSC President Dr. Macario Oclarit, TESDA Coordinator Prof. Reynaldo Macario, Jr., and Teddy Veloso, who represented the TESDA Camiguin Provincial Director. Alongside them were dedicated TESDA Camiguin staff who contributed to the success of the initiative.

The graduates, coming from the Camiguin Polytechnic State College (CPSC), completed the course on Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II training. “The STEP initiative, designed to provide practical and technical skills, plays a pivotal role in improving employment opportunities for its participants,” said Veloso.
He added that through programs like these, TESDA shows its commitment to uphold economic development and self-sufficiency among communities across the country.

Overseeing the distribution activity was Louis Emmanuel M. Martho, who highlighted the significance of providing beneficiaries with the resources needed to excel in the electrical installation and maintenance field. The toolkits, comprising industry-standard equipment, are expected to enable graduates to start their careers or enhance their skills in the trade.
Veloso said such initiatives help TESDA and its partners empower individuals and build stronger communities with accessible training programs. (RTP/PIA-10/Camiguin)
