TARLAC CITY (PIA) – A total of 22 Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organization (ARBO) members attended a seminar on marketing management organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac and Tarlac State University (TSU).
As part of the DTI-Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), the farmer-beneficiaries from the municipalities of Ramos, Gerona, La Paz and Camiling were trained to increase their productivity and enhance their marketing strategies.
Trade Industry Development Specialist Rhina Galang highlighted the tools, strategies, processes and analyses they imparted to the ARBOs and CARPreneurs to aid them in the effective promotion of their products.
“One of the reasons why DTI-CARP existed is to help our farmers engage in business. Their learnings on this Marketing Management Seminar can serve as a backbone of their organization as they will know how to strategize, sustain, have new clients, prioritize customer satisfaction, and learn how to effectively promote their products,” Galang said.
Among the topics discussed were the Extended Marketing Mix, 4Ps of Marketing, The Micro and Macro Environments in Marketing, and the SWOC (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Challenges) Analysis .
Moreover, resource persons from TSU talked about the strategies to boost their organization’s strengths and to improve their weaknesses.
DTI provides seminars to various sectors, including farmers, to encourage more Tarlaqueños to start their business journey, to generate employment, and to boost the local economy of the province. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
