ILOILO CITY (PIA) – – Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) Director Police Colonel Kim Legada administered the oath of office and pinning of ranks of the newly promoted police officers in a simultaneous mass oath-taking ceremony held on February 6, 2025 in Camp Achilles D. Plagata here.
Under the Calendar Year 2024 Regular Promotion Program, a total of 245 personnel from the ICPO were officially promoted to higher ranks.
Of the 245 police officers who took their oath, 8 were commissioned to Police Lieutenants 17 were elevated to Police Executive Master Sergeant, 3 to Police Chief Master Sergeant, 29 to Police Senior Master Sergeant, 87 to Police Master Sergeant, 16 to Police Staff Sergeant, and 85 to Police Corporal.
In his message, Legada challenged the newly promoted officers to embrace their new roles with dedication and integrity.
“I challenge each of you to rise to the occasion, lead with courage, serve with heart, and uphold the honor of the PNP,” said Legada.
He also acknowledged the vital role of families in the success of every police officer.
“To the families, this promotion is yours. Behind every police officer stands a strong support system—spouses, parents, children, and loved ones—who have been our silent strength and our reason to keep going,” added Legada.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Neil E. Gumana, Chief, CARMU, Police Lieutenant Colonel Lindley T. Barrientos, DCDA, ICPO, Police Lieutenant Colonel Lorenez G. Losaria, DCDO along with other ICPO Staff, Unit Commanders, Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs), Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUPs), friends, and families of the promotees attended the ceremony which marked another milestone for ICPO in strengthening its ranks and reinforcing the commitment of its personnel to serving the people of Iloilo City with honor, integrity, and professionalism.
