MANILA — Some 2,500 farmers in Nueva Ecija expressed their gratitude on Friday, September 13, to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the administration’s continued help and support to the agriculture sector in the province.

Mikaela Angela B. Suansing told President Marcos.

The President led the launching of the “Agri-Puhunan at Pantawid Program” at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Gymnasium in the town of Guimba.

Under the Pantawid program, each farmer will receive an Intervention Monitoring Card (IMC), which can be used to purchase seeds and fertilizers, as well as other farming tools through accredited merchants.

President Marcos said the government will provide the farmers with PhP32,000 in financial aid, to be distributed as P8,000 every first week of each month for the next four months. (PND)
