307 hired in local mega job fair

MANILA, (PIA) — Around 307 job seekers from Malabon were hired on the spot during the city government’s Mega Job Fair on Wednesday.

The event, held at the activity area of Robinsons Malabon, was spearheaded by the Malabon City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) as part of Mayor Jeannie Sandoval’s initiative to improve the quality of life for Malabueños.

We will not stop collaborating with various local and international companies, and holding these types of programs, to continue implementing our goal of providing jobs and improving the lives of Malabueños,” Mayor Jeannie said.

This is our time! So you can expect that we will not stop implementing programs that will surely help Malabueños with their needs.”

This was the fourth Mega Job Fair held by the local government this year, with around 9,000 job vacancies opened to over 600 Malabueños.

The PESO partnered with 45 local and national companies and agencies that were looking to fill positions such as HR coordinator, receptionist, delivery rider, factory worker, and more.

Jobseekers were also able to process their PhilHealth, NBI, SSS, and Pag-IBIG documents needed for their applications in a one-stop-shop set up by the city government.

In these large-scale job fairs, we bring the jobs closer to our beloved Malabueños who need them for the continuous improvement of their situation,” said City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete. “Here in Malabon, we prioritize these types of programs because they are a step towards our continued progress and for Malabueños to arrange their lives and reach their dreams.” (JCO/PIA-NCR)
