NAGTIPUNAN, Quirino – A total of 33 couples exchanged vows during the “Kasalan sa Bayan,” a key event of the 42nd Araw ng Nagtipunan celebration, organized by the local government through the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO).
Bishop Jay H. Acosta, who officiated the wedding ceremony, highlighted the sacredness of marriage and emphasized the values of love, commitment, and faith.
In her address, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Quirino Head Cherry Grace D. Agustin stressed the importance of securing a marriage certificate and registering vital events promptly.
She emphasized that such actions are crucial for accessing legal rights and government services.
Agustin also commended the LCRO, under the leadership of Municipal Civil Registrar Melanie B. Tabunan, for its unwavering dedication to providing accessible civil registration services to the community.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds shared their first dance, after which tokens and certificates were awarded.
