ODIONGAN, Romblon (PIA) — Thiry eight (38) couples exchanged vows during a mass wedding in Odiongan, Romblon sponsored by the local government unit during the last week of Love Month.
Odiongan Mayor Trina Firmalo-Fabic served as the solemnizing officer of the mass wedding.
Vice Mayor Diven Dimaala and the Sangguniang Bayan members also attended the gathering together with representatives from the Philippine Statistics Authority, and the Philippine Independent Church.
During her message, Mayor Fabic asked the newlyweds to fulfill the promises that they made to their partner during the ceremony.
“Couples, you know that life is hard and there are so many problems. But when you have a partner in life and a companion, everything becomes easier. This is my only advice to you, never ignore your partner because they chose to be with you forever,” the mayor added during her message.
The conduct of mass wedding is a regular event in the town every year to help strengthen couples’ relationship in a matrimonial bond. (PJF/PIA Mimaropa)
