SYUDAD SANG ILOILO (PIA) — Nagpakigbahin ang 3rd Infantry Spearhead Division sang Philippine Army paagi sa 301st Infantry Brigade sa paglunsyar sang Regional Joint Security Control Center 6 (RJSCC 6) para sa 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE) sang Nobyembre 6 sa Camp General Martin Teofilo B. Delgado, Iloilo City.
Ginpangunahan ni Regional Election Director Atty. Dennis Ausan, kaupod si Police Regional Office 6 (PRO 6) director Brigadier General Jack Wanky, kag 301st Infantry Brigade commander Brigadier General Michael Samson nga nagrepresentar kay Major General Marion R. Sison nga commander sang 3ID, ang paglunsyar sang RJSCC 6.
Nagpresentar man ang COMELEC 6 sang statistics kag calendar of activities sang Guimaras Provincial Election Supervisor paagi kay Atty. Hazel Palencia, kag overview sang regional RJSCC paagi kay Aklan Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Roberto Salazar.
Pormal nga ginlunsyar ni Ausan ang regional security body samtang ginhatagan sini pat-od ang katuyuan sang aktibidad.
“We are here to officially commence the election season in Region 6. While the official election period begins on January 12, pursuant to Commission Resolution 11067, which was promulgated in September, we need to convene and launch the Regional Joint Security Control Center at least two months before the start of the election period,” siling ni Ausan.
Nagpasiguro naman si Philipps Soria, Commander sang Coast Guard District Western Visayas, sang iya suporta sa RJSCC 6 kon sa diiin nagkomiter ini sa pagsiguro, pagserbe, kag pagprotekta sang kabuhi sa palaabuton nga eleksyon sa 2025.
Sa pihak nga bahin, nagpasalamat naman si BGen. Wanky sa COMELEC bangud sa maaga pa nga paglunsyar sang RJSCC 6 nga magahatag sang bastante nga oras para ma establisar ang provincial, city, kag municipal JSCCs. Nagsumpa man ini nga ila pagapasangkaron ang ila mga estratehiya sa pagtapna sang kriminalidad kag iban pa nga pagpamahog nga mahimo makatublag sa proseso sang eleksyon.
Nangako man ang 3ID nga ini makig-angot sa iban nga mga ahensya para masiguro ang seguridad sang mga botante sa eleksyon.
“The 3ID, as one of the deputized agencies for May 2025 elections, is more than willing to provide support to our COMELEC, PNP, and other government agencies to ensure the integrity of the upcoming polls. Rest assured that we will help conduct intelligence gathering, counter-terrorism operations, and other security measures to prevent any lawless and armed groups, especially remnants of the Communist Terrorist Group from disrupting the electoral process and harming our people who will exercise their right to suffrage on May 12, 2025,” siling ni Major General Marion R. Sison.
Sa parte naman ni Samson, iya ginhatagan importansya ang pagkilala sang dako nga papel sang RJSCC nga amo man nagahatag kahigayunan sa Army kag iban nga ahensya nga mangayo direksyon sa pagpatigayon sang eleksyon.
“This isn’t the first time we’ve held this launch. We’ve learned from past experiences, but there are always changes. That’s why we need to brief and equip our personnel with the knowledge they need to support the conduct of national and local elections,” suno kay Samson.
Samtang nga ginakilala nga ang insurgency isa sa mga ginakabalak-an kada eleksyon sa mga malayo nga mga lugar, ginpahibalo ni Samson nga ang ini nga problema malapit na nga matapos diri sa Panay.
“The insurgency problem is now largely confined to the remnants of the rebels in some forested areas of Licabao, Aklan and Tapaz, Capiz. In the southern part of Iloilo, we have successfully dismantled the guerrilla fronts. If anyone claims to see groups of 10 or 20 NPA members moving around, be suspicious and report it to us. We will validate as the armed groups in that area have been effectively neutralized,” dugang pa sini.
Nagtambong sa aktibidad ang mga opisyales kag tiglawas sang COMELEC, 3ID, PRO 6, Philippine Coast Guard, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, Bureau of Fire Protection, National Bureau of Investigation, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Education, Philippine Information Agency, kag iban pa nga mga ahensya.
Ang RJSCC 6 isa ka collaborative body nga ginabug-osan sang COMELEC, PNP, kag AFP. Ini responsible sa pag-implementar sang gun ban policy, paghatag sang exemptions, kag pagdumala sang security detail requests. Ini nga kolektibo nga pagtinguha, nga nagalakip man sang iban pa nga mga ahensya sang gobyerno, nagatuyo nga masiguro ang isa ka luwas kag malinong nga proseso sang eleksyon sa Rehiyon 6.
