CAMIGUIN (PIA) — Enhancing the global competitiveness of Camiguin’s workforce, 40 trainees here will undergo a 10-month training after the Provincial Government of Camiguin has recently signed a partnership agreement with Japanese company ShinkoShuppansha Keirinkan Co., MIES, E-Education, Camiguin Polytechnic State College (CPSC), and the Department of Education (DepEd).
This collaboration brings forth the Endowed Course, a training program aimed at CPSC students and graduates, equipping them with skills for the global market.

The training will focus on essential skills, including knowledge of English, English teaching methods for foreigners, and an introduction to Japanese culture and basic Japanese language. This curriculum is designed to prepare participants not only in language proficiency but also in cultural competency, making them versatile candidates for roles that require cross-cultural communication.
“Pagkahuman sa kurso, ang mga trainee makadawat og sertipiko ug adunay oportunidad nga magtrabaho uban sa ilang mga kauban nga organisasyon bisan gawas man sa nasud,” said Gov. Xavier Jesus Romualdo.
(After completing the course, the trainees will receive a certificate and have the opportunity to work with their partner organizations even outside the country.)

This program supports Camiguin’s vision of producing globally competitive individuals ready to meet the demands of the international market.
The governor said this partnership exemplifies Camiguin’s commitment to promoting skills and resilience in the workforce. “Ang atong kooperasyon uban sa Japan naghatag og dakong paglaum sa pagpalambo ug pagpadayon sa pagtan-aw sa mas daghang mga oportunidad nga maghatag og benepisyo nato mga Camiguinon,” Romualdo said.
(Our cooperation with Japan gives us great hope to develop and continue to see more opportunities that will benefit us Camiguingnons.) (RTP/PIA-10/Camiguin)
