TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite (PIA) – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Cavite awarded Bagwis Certificate of Continuous Compliance to forty-eight (48) establishments in the province on Friday, January 20.
The validity of the awards was extended for three (3) years for the establishments’ continuous compliance with the Bagwis parameters.
Pursuant to DAO 17-08, Series of 2017, Implementing Guidelines on the Grant of Bagwis Award to Business Establishments that Uphold Consumers’ Rights and Interest and Practice Business Ethics, the DTI-Bagwis Award is automatically revalidated upon confirmation of the DTI Provincial Office that an awardee establishment is consistently complying with the Bagwis parameters within three (3) consecutive years.
Reassessment of all existing Bagwis awardees in the respective jurisdiction could be done within three years before the expiration of the award.
Also, three (3) establishments were awarded the Gold Bagwis Seal of Excellence: the SM Hypermarket Tagaytay; SM Supermarket Trece Martires, and Abenson HomePlus Kawit.
The DTI-Bagwis Program gives due recognition to establishments that uphold the rights of consumers while practicing responsible business where consumers get the best value for money. (RBF with reports from DTI-Cavite)
