QUEZON CITY (PIA) – Over 12,000 graduating beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the National Capital Region (NCR) will benefit from the series of job fairs, called ‘Trabaho para sa 4Ps,’ starting January 31, 2025.
Spearheaded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the ‘Trabaho para sa 4Ps’ is a collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and other government agencies.
“These series of convergence of job fairs called the ‘Trabaho para sa 4Ps’ are intended for graduating 4Ps beneficiaries to make sure that they don’t slip back to poverty,” said DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian.
Gatchalian added that each household beneficiary is eligible for one working adult who will get employed through the job fair, whether they have become self-sufficient or don’t have eligible children for cash grants.
It will also be a one-stop-shop with booths from the DSWD, DOLE, TESDA, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine National Police (PNP), Social Security System (SSS), the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and PhilHealth.
During the ‘Trabaho para sa 4Ps’, the beneficiaries will need to register and undergo an orientation on how a job fair works.
A financial assistance of Php 3,000 will then be given to 4Ps beneficiaries to pay for the Pre-employment documents, including NBI clearance, police clearance, PSA-issued birth certificate, PhilSys National ID, SSS number, and BIR-issued tax identification number Identification Number (TIN).
Based on the 4Ps National Program Management Office (NPMO) data, over 140,000 households are set to graduate from the 4Ps program this year in NCR. These household beneficiaries will be recognized this year through ‘Pugay Tagumpay, a series of graduation ceremonies nationwide. (GLDG/PIA-NCR)
