525 Camiguingnons benefit from DOLE DocuFest services

MAMBAJAO, Camiguin (PIA) — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10 partnered with the local government units’ Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Barangay PESO, and Job Placement Office (JPO) Day cum DocuFest Services, benefitting 525 locals during the Lanzones Festival at the Provincial Capitol lobby, Lakas, Poblacion, here.

“As we join this festive occasion, DOLE-10 reaffirmed its commitment to support the community by providing several programs and services that contribute to enhancing community well-being,” said DOLE-10 Regional Director lawyer Erwin N. Aquino.

PESO Camiguin Chapter Association Inc. (PCCAI) President and Mambajao PESO Manager Atanacio P. Lusdoc, Jr. said the DocuFest offered essential services in collaboration with various government agencies.

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) provided services to a total of 82 clients, while the Pag-IBIG Fund served 74 and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) served 45. A total of 135 clients received complimentary personal care services, such as haircuts and salon treatments, while 189 clients received nail services.

Moreover, a quiz bowl on DOLE’s programs and services highlighting labor standards on workers’ statutory monetary benefits was also facilitated by the host agencies. Ten senior high schools from across the province participated in the quiz bowl. Two participants from each municipality showcased their talents in a dance group competition and individual singing contest.
