CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) – Around 600 scholars received their allowances from the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro during the recent distribution conducted by Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PPESO) held at Oriental Mindoro National High School (OMNHS) in this city.
Scholars who were enrolled in public schools/colleges/universities received P5,000 each while those who were enrolled in private colleges/universities received P7,000 each.
Gov. Humerlito A. Dolor said he will continue to support the young scholars for them to reach their dream of finishing their studies amidst the challenges and trials being faced by students during the pandemic and the continuing oil spill crisis.
Dolor shared with the scholars about his projects and plans for the family of the scholars living along the coastal barangays and whose livelihoods come from fishing and fish vending.
Dolor said that the scholarship program gives better future when students finished their studies to secure stable employment opportunities and break the generational poverty cycle in society. (LTC/PIA-Mimaropa)
