7th Dagyaw town hall meeting set for Olutanga Island

ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY (PIA) –  The seventh leg of the Dagyaw Town Hall Meeting in the Zamboanga Peninsula, set to be held on Olutanga Island on Tuesday, June 25, will focus its discourse on the conservation and development of marine and human resources for national progress.

Dubbed ‘Usapang Yamang Dagat at Tao: Pangangalaga at Pagpapayabong Tungo sa Kaunlaran ng Bayan,’ the activity aims to foster trust between the Filipino people and the government by providing an open, neutral, and protected space for dialogue between local communities, civil society organizations, and the government.

Highlighting the agenda,  the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR)-IX will be presenting a report on their accomplishments and available programs. This will be followed by an open dialogue between the participants and invited reactors, including Mr. Armando Manalac, President of the People’s Council in Olutanga, along with Mr. Eric Doane G. Bulnes and Alexander Matteo.

Raffle prizes will be given out, courtesy of the local government unit of Olutanga and the People’s Council.

Everyone is invited to attend and join the conversation to be held at the Olutanga Gymnasium, Olutanga, Zamboanga Sibugay at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 25. This activity will also be livestreamed on the DILG Region 9 Facebook Page and cross posted on PIA Western Mindanao. (JPA/CCP/PIA9)
