QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — Eight former members of the Liga ng mga Manggagawa-Valenzuela Chapter recently returned to the fold of the law.
The Joint Task Force National Capital Region (JTF-NCR), through the 11th Civil-Military Operations “Kaugnayan” Battalion and in collaboration with the Northern Police District (NPD), recently facilitated the oath of allegiance of the former members of Liga ng mga Mangagawa-Valenzuela Chapter.
The former left members voluntarily withdrew support from CPP-NPA-NDF and have pledged allegiance to the government and signed a commitment document to support the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
Present during the activity held in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City was Joint Task Force National Region chief of staff, Colonel Alvin G. Iyog and from the Northern Police District represented by Police Major Randi Pulali.
Financial assistance and grocery packages were also provided to former CTG Affected Mass Organization (CAMO) members.
Meanwhile, 11th Civil-Military Operations “Kaugnayan” Battalion commander, Lt. Col. Gene Orense extended his gratitude to the former CAMO members for trusting the Philippine Army and Philippine National Police.
